Samuel Burrows - Director, Storyteller, and Creative Lead in Television, Documentary, and Branded Content.

Hey there, I’m Samuel Burrows, a Toronto-based Director with a focus on long-form television, documentaries, and branded content. Since diving into filmmaking in 2007, I’ve spent my career helping stories find their shape, from the first idea all the way to the final cut. My background spans directing, camera operation, editing, photography, and project management, which gives me a practical perspective on every stage of production.

Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked across development, production, and post-production, often leading creative direction while managing project timelines and workflows. I guide storytelling initiatives, oversee teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time without losing focus or cohesion.

Alongside broadcast work, I’ve produced branded content ranging from short campaigns to evergreen projects for highly engaged audiences. I stay closely connected to the craft of visual storytelling, stepping in as an editor, cinematographer, or director when needed. This hands-on experience allows me to work effectively with both small and large creative teams, with a clear understanding of what’s possible, what’s efficient, and where issues can arise.

At the core of everything I do is story and intention. I focus on ensuring projects communicate what they need to for clients, and that teams reach that goal in a way that feels thoughtful, grounded, and human.
